This will be a discussion on how the 49ers use data to optimize their business operations. Unfortunately, football player analytics and draft strategies will not be covered. That is the focus of a completely separate group!
My team focuses on the Fan Experience, as well as the more typical business challenges of user acquisition and retention.
We will discuss:
· How the 49ers apply analytics and visualization to: Ticket Sales, Member Services, Marketing, CRM, and our Loyalty Program
· How data can assist in game day operations: Food & Beverage, Retail Sales, Stadium Operations
Steve is an analytics and customer insights expert backed by data engineering, with over 16 years of demonstrated ability to generate and optimize business opportunities. He has expertise in translating raw data into actionable business insights.
Steve graduated from MIT with a B.S. degree in Management Science and has worked and consulted for a variety of influential companies, including Nest Labs, eBay, Google, Microsoft, Hilton, HP, MySpace, Yell.com, and Alltel Communications.
He is currently working for the San Francisco 49ers, where he leads their vision and strategy for an enterprise business analytics platform. This platform, which touches nearly all verticals in the business, drives the utilization of data for a personalized fan experience.
