Speaker: James Hetherington, Research Software Engineering (The Alan Turing Institute)

So you can code, but is your code correct? Can someone else read it and adapt it? Will it make sense to you in a year?

How can you be sure the maths you typed in is the maths you meant to type in? In this class, we will cover some key aspects of Research Software Engineering: testing, version control, documentation, refactoring, continuous integration and more.

This is an introductory class (no advanced session planned)
