The built environment is constantly changing with buildings evolving into more than just physical spaces. Offices have become places of play, shops have become experiences and buildings are able to respond and adapt to our needs. The question is do these seismic shifts in the way we design, build, occupy and transact property mean we have to look at space through a fundamental different prism? Is space now a service?

Join us for an evening of debate, drinks and networking with some of the industry's leading thinkers.

Jacob Loftus: General Projects

Jacob is CEO of General Projects, a new real estate developer wholly focused on design-led, tech-enabled, creative real estate aimed at tomorrow’s generation. Established in the summer of 2016, General Projects is developing over 200,000 sq ft of cutting edge creative office across London. Prior to founding the company, Jacob was Head of UK at Resolution Property where he pioneered some of London’s most forward thinking mixed-use developments including Alphabeta, Dept W, Kensal & Thomas More Square.

Antony Slumbers: Antonyslumbers.com & Estates Today

For 12 years he designed, developed and hosted the UK and European websites for a major real estate advisor, and in 2001 launched the Property management and Building community service vicinitee.com as a joint venture with Broadgate Estates, the property management arm of British Land. Today Antony consults on how technology is impacting real estate, and the digital strategies needed to adjust to this new market. He also writes a regular column in the Estates Gazette.

Josh Artus: The Centric Lab

Josh Artus is the Director of Real Estate & the Built Environment for The Centric Lab. A graduate in Fine Art Josh has since been connecting the creative classes to commercial property for over 10 years. In partnership wit UCL they bring world class facilities, technologies and decades of research in neuroscience to the built environment industry.

Paul Gold: BDG Sparkes Porter

Paul established BDG Sparkes Porter at the end of 2007 and has witnessed first-hand the evolving function of ‘the office’ since the collapse of Lehman Brothers in 2008.  BDG Sparkes Porter is a leading central London-focussed office agency and he now regularly advises Landlords such as Derwent London, Threadneedle, Shaftesbury, The Crown Estate and The Pollen Estate as well as a broad range of occupiers and rapidly expanding technology and co-working companies including Deliveroo and Mindspace.
