Ted Schama - Managing Partner: Shelley Sandzer

Ted is a joint managing partner of Shelley Sandzer and has over 25 years experience within the industry. He is responsible for heading up the Leasing Department with extensive expertise in shopping centres, dedicated leisure centres, new developments and mixed use schemes throughout the UK. Ted was also the former Chairman of The Restaurant Property Advisors Society and works on behalf of some of the UK's biggest Landlords including Lendlease, LandSec & Derwent, as well as occupiers like Patty and Bun. The most exciting part of his business is often assisting an idea or emerging concept to the high street. 

Nick Green - General Manager: MealPal

Nick is the UK General Manager for MealPal, having joined in February of this year, he has overseen the launches of both London and Manchester as well as assisting with the push into Paris. Previously he was the Head of Sales at Deliveroo, responsible for the Sales and Account Management teams, Key Partnerships and Special Projects such as launching Deliveroo's Alcohol Delivery and Packaging services. Prior to Deliveroo, Nick was a consultant at Founders Forum, working with numerous top startups and technology businesses.

Helen Carr - Leasing Director: F&B and Leisure: Battersea Power Station Development Company

Helen is the Leasing Director for Food & Beverage and Leisure, at Battersea Power Station (BPS), where she is responsible for curating and delivering restaurants, bars, cafes, hotels, gyms and other leisure opportunities across the BPS estate. The first outlets in Circus West Village have opened this summer, including Mother, a pizza restaurant from Copenhagen; No.29 - the 5th pub / restaurant by Darwin &Wallace, spin studio Boom Cycle and Battersea General Store. Helen has over 20 years’ experience in the sector, where she has been responsible for leasing new developments across multi-site portfolios consisting of airports, stations (St Pancras Station) and latterly Shopping Centres. Helen joined the BPS team in December 2013, following 2 years at Intu (formerly Capital Shopping Centres) where she was responsible for the catering and leisure leasing across 11 Shopping Centres.

Nick Tolley - Founder / Executive Chairman: Taylor St

Nick first started in coffee some ten years ago when he and his siblings (Andrew and Laura) launched one of London's first speciality coffee businesses, Taylor St Baristas, in 2006. Taylor St today boasts 9 cafes in and around the City of London and continues to blaze a trail in the UK's quality coffee sector with its world class barista training program and innovative store designs. 

In 2012, Nick (and Taylor St) worked with Tesco to launch a more mainstream speciality coffee business called Harris + Hoole. This business grew quickly, opening over 50 shops in some 3 years, and today is one of the largest speciality coffee businesses in the world. Nick left Harris + Hoole in 2015 to refocus his attention on Taylor St, which, in 2016, opened both its first store abroad (in New York City) as well as a coffee roasting business back in London. 
Prior to coffee, Nick worked as a management consultant in Sydney. He has a BA/BEc from the Australian National University and an MBA from INSEAD.

Will Beresford- Director: Food Stars

Will Beresford is a co-founder of FoodStars. Founded in 2015, FoodStars rent professional serviced commercial kitchens to food & drink businesses across 4 London locations; Bethnal Green, Bermondsey, Vauxhall and Shoreditch. Their most recent location in Shoreditch spans across 20,000 sq ft which also includes storage units and office space, in addition to state of the art commercial kitchens, all dedicated to London’s diverse food and drink sector.

FoodStars has expanded from initial 1,600 sq ft site to over 30,000 sq ft of property in approximately 18 months. Their members range from start-up food and drink operators to established brands and operators such as; Bill’s Restaurants, Mustard Catering, Bel-Air and Alan Yau.

Most FoodStars members’ are operating in one the following areas of the industry; catering, restaurants, retail brands, wholesale, food delivery and product development.

Before FoodStars, Will worked in food, as a director of a catering and street food business, having previously spent 7 years as a derivatives trader in the financial markets.
