AI in the real world
In the next ProductTank on Wednesday the 15th of November we're going to be taking a practical look at what Product Managers need to know about Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, to be successful.
This month's speakers are:
Mike Hyde (Analytics Director, Workplace by Facebook)
Mike leads Data Science and Data Engineering for Workplace, Facebook’s new enterprise product for companies of all sizes to collaborate and communicate in new ways. Prior to this he built and lead the global data analytics team at Skype, managing one of the world’s largest data sets and exploring communication habits of people all around the world. His experience spans data architecture through to data science and culture, and he is passionate about using data and insights to create a company culture focused on innovation and growth. Prior to Skype, Mike spent over a decade in consulting, using data to solve businesses’ problems across many industries and countries.
Diogo Coutinho (Lead Product Manager at Schibsted Media Group)
Diogo is a product leader with extensive experience in consumer products, having worked for large and medium sized companies, as well as startups. Past companies include the Telefonica Group, Three UK and the Just Eat Group. He's currently one of the senior product managers at Schibsted Media, where he's building next generation marketplace products. He's got a masters degree in Intelligent Systems from King's College and enjoys working in the intersection of Product and AI. Diogo will talk us through the best way to apply AI algorithms to C2C marketplaces.
Zara Tam (Product Manager at Founders Factory)
Zara love building things that have a real impact. Currently as a Product Manager at Founders Factory, she is leading an AI recruitment product Chosen – built with the latest NLP, machine learning, and search technologies – to help recruiters find great talent. Zara manage a team of 8+, including data scientists, engineers, designers, and the operations team. Before joining Founders Factory, she worked with several startups and went through Entrepreneur First, one of the top deep tech accelerators in Europe with a 3% acceptance rate. She is a Chartered Engineer and land economist by training, and an alumna of the University of Cambridge and Imperial College London.
