Mark will show several visualisations, explain how they were built and discuss how effective they are. The examples are drawn from the areas of finance, economics and health and are built with Power BI and R. They include the text analysis of financial documents, market risk charts to compare trading profit & loss (P&L) against risk and regulatory limits, Gantt-chart style overview of large projects, operational risk and control self-assessments, a version of the famous viz by Hans Rosling of the health and wealth of nations over 200 years.

SHACK15, The Data Science Hub,  is kindly hosting us for this event. SHACK15 is London's very first coworking space dedicated to all things data science. Check out their data science news blog at news.shack15.com.
