This session will provide an overview of how the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) which comes into force in May 2018 will change the privacy regime in the UK. We will provide guidance on how businesses need to prepare for the new regime including (i) updating privacy policies and terms of business (ii) implementing new internal policies (iii) undertaking GDPR gap analysis on tech functionality (iv) appointing a data protection officer (v) securing insurance to provide coverage for breaches and (vi) implementing privacy by design principles.

The session will be followed by FAQs and networking.

Drinks and light refreshments will be served throughout the evening.
